Surviving amidst Covid-19
Sharing below a poem/article of mine which was published on 5th July 2020, in an online magazine by the name INDIANPERIODICAL.......hope those who happen to come across it (during the ongoing pandemic) do read it till the end and get a new perspective and renewed strength to face this calamity and its repercussions. It’s a roller coaster ride, this surviving amidst Covid -19! The brain is jammed, The heart is locked. The eyes are seeing, yet are not seeing. The ears are hearing, but aren’t listening. Tears are welling up But not flowing. The hands and feet are moving, But without direction. The soul feels like a caged bird, Wanting to break open And fly in the open fields. And the time seems like a linear line, Where every heart is filled with an unknown fear, Of a future of uncertainties And of circumstances too trying! But a VOICE within speaks softly, and implores to let go off the fear. These are what such times are made of, it says, When history is created, By strong heart
